In the midst of one of the most severe humanitarian crises in modern history, something extraordinary happened. A diverse group of people from around the world united with one purpose to protect and uplift Gaza’s most vulnerable families.
From that shared commitment, Network for Palestine was born. What began as simple acts of care sparked a movement that now transforms lives across an entire community.
In only its first year, Network for Palestine supported more than 35,000 people through a model of direct, personalized, and community driven aid. The organization moves quickly and compassionately to meet urgent needs while also building long term pathways for stability and recovery. Its approach is rooted in the belief that every family deserves safety, dignity, and the opportunity to thrive.
Medical programs connect families with local doctors who provide free or reduced cost care at a time when access to treatment is limited for many. Education initiatives help high school students continue their studies so they can pursue higher education and protect futures that conflict threatens to interrupt.
The work extends far beyond healthcare and education. Through family sponsorships, Network for Palestine provides rent assistance, food, hygiene products, clothing, furniture, and other essentials that keep households stable and secure. Every family is supported individually and compassionately so help is tailored to exactly what they need in that moment.
What makes this initiative truly remarkable is that it is managed and led by Gazans themselves. Those directly affected by the crisis are the ones designing the solutions. Their leadership ensures that support is culturally rooted, community centered, and deeply respectful of the rich and resilient heritage of Gaza.
The impact is profound. Lives are being changed and lives are being saved. Families are staying housed, children are staying in school, loved ones are receiving medical care, and communities are holding onto hope in circumstances that demand extraordinary resilience. The work of Network for Palestine protects not only survival but also the enduring beauty of Gazan culture and identity.
Built on courage, compassion, and collective action, Network for Palestine continues to uplift families and strengthen the heart of Gaza.

A humanitarian and development organization dedicated to expanding education, inclusion, and opportunity for marginalized Sudanese communities.
Before the war in Sudan, Oaknna supported underserved populations through initiatives such as Art by Blind, classroom renovation projects, and community-based programs designed to increase access to education, creativity, and essential resources for people of all abilities.
Since the outbreak of the war, Oaknna has broadened its mission to meet the urgent and evolving needs of displaced Sudanese communities both within Sudan and across neighboring countries.
The organization now provides structured support for youth, women, and individuals with visual impairments whose education, livelihoods, and stability have been disrupted by conflict.
Through mentorship, skills training, leadership development, and inclusive learning opportunities, Oaknna empowers displaced individuals to rebuild pathways toward independence and long-term resilience.
Oaknna’s work also extends to the Sudanese diaspora. In Minneapolis, the Bloom Initiative supports refugee and immigrant women through mentorship, empowerment coaching, and skills-building programs that foster economic self-reliance and community integration.
Across all its initiatives, Oaknna Foundation remains grounded in a commitment to dignity, equity, and sustainable impact.
Building on its longstanding humanitarian work and its expanded response to the current crisis, Oaknna continues to stand alongside Sudanese communities as they regain stability, rebuild their lives, and look toward the future with dignity, confidence, and purpose.
Our organization is proud to serve as the fiscal sponsor for the Oaknna Foundation, supporting its mission and ensuring these vital programs can continue to grow and thrive.

A groundbreaking educational initiative bringing Montessori-inspired learning to displaced Gazan children and families in Cairo.
Launched in response to the war in Gaza, it combines hands-on, child-centered education with psychosocial support helping children heal, grow, and thrive despite unimaginable challenges.
In its first year, the project reached over 700 children across four age groups, delivering innovative home learning kits, structured Montessori programs, and parent education to strengthen learning at home.
Three permanent learning centres throughout Cairo provide safe, nurturing spaces where children can explore, create, and develop their potential while receiving consistent emotional and mental health support.
A cornerstone of the project is empowering the local Gazan community. Gazan teachers are recruited and trained in Montessori methodology and child development, receiving certification and professional support. Their work not only uplifts the children they teach but also helps sustain their families through meaningful employment.
Guided by values of trust, self-belief, and evolution, Montessori Yad Bi Yad ensures that displaced children and families are seen, supported, and given the tools to thrive.
By combining education, psychosocial care, and community empowerment, the project is one of a kind, locally led, deeply transformative, and redefining how education can heal and inspire hope for children affected by conflict.
Rise Up Humanity is privileged to support Montessori Yad Bi Yad in its mission to nurture, empower, and uplift displaced Gazan families. Guided by the community it serves, this initiative is building brighter futures one child at a time.
